Kosher My Device · A walk-through reference

Forty years of
guarding the screen.

One story, four eras, told the way a museum tells it — slowly, honestly, artifact by artifact. Then you sit in the judge's chair yourself.

Hall I · The dial-up years I
THE BLOCKLIST, c. DIAL-UP

The era of the list.

The first family filters were lists of website names — checked by the family computer, updated by hand, outgrown by the internet almost immediately. The lesson carved over this hall's door: the internet outgrows any list.

Hall II · The router years II
THE HOME APPLIANCE

The fence around the driveway.

Protection moved to the family router — every screen in the house guarded at once. Then the phone walked out the door with a data plan, and the fence guarded an empty driveway. Protection tied to a place cannot guard a device built to leave it.

Hall III · The app decade III
THE GUEST THAT GUARDED THE HOUSE

The guard who rented a room.

Filtering became an app — one resident among many, asking the phone's permission to watch its neighbors, evicted whenever the phone's owner chose. Good software, wrong position. What can be installed can be uninstalled.

Hall IV · Now IV
THE SEAL

The era of the seal.

Judgment moved to the content itself — pictures, video, text, on every network. The rule became a written standard, the same for every home. And the protection became part of the device's life, not a guest on it. This is the era the rest of this museum lives in.

Interactive exhibit · You be the judge

Five sites. Your ruling.

The modern standard rules every site one of three ways: allow, blur (open behind a warning, images filtered), or block. Try the judge's chair — then see how the written standard actually rules.

The library wing

The reference collection.

Nine entries and growing — the encyclopedia adds new research continually.

The KolBo wing

Built by the people building the answer.

This museum is maintained by the KolBo world — the team whose written standard and sealed devices closed the fourth era's question. The family:

Understand it. Then choose it.

When the walk is done and the answer is one standard, sealed from home — the door is open.
